In-store scanner
You don't have to be counting calories to use Catch Balance. Open it in the grocery aisle, scan the barcode, and instantly see what's really inside — additives, allergens, artificial colours, and whether it's actually something you want your family eating.
Fresh is always better. The more whole foods you scan, the more you'll reach for the real thing. Catch Balance helps your family eat cleaner — one aisle at a time.

Fasting timer screen
Track your fasting windows with a built-in timer, log every fast, and watch your streaks build. Whether you're doing 16:8, 18:6, or your own schedule — Catch Balance keeps you honest without the guesswork.
Not just a timer. Catch Balance pairs your fasting data with your nutrition diary so you can see exactly how fasting fits into your overall health picture.
Poor sleep wrecks your diet, your energy, and your goals. Catch Balance tracks your sleep duration, quality, and trends — pulling data directly from your Samsung Galaxy Watch so you never have to log it manually.
The missing piece. Most health apps treat sleep as an afterthought. In Catch Balance, it sits alongside your food, weight, and activity data — because that's how your body actually works.

Macros — short for macronutrients — are the three main nutrients your body uses for energy: protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Tracking them gives you a more complete picture of what you're eating beyond just calories.
When you set up your goals, the app uses your weight, height, age, and activity level to estimate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) — the number of calories your body burns each day. Your macro targets are built from that number, so your goals are personalised to you, not pulled from a generic chart.
Catch Balance includes four presets to get you started quickly — plus a fully custom option:
Go to Settings → Goals in the app. You'll find the macro section alongside your calorie goal, sleep target, and step goal. Tap a preset to apply it instantly, or enter your own numbers manually.
On any recipe detail screen, four glowing rings show how that recipe stacks up against your daily macro goals — one each for calories, protein, carbs, and fat. A full ring means that recipe covers your entire daily target for that nutrient. It's a quick way to see whether a meal fits your day without doing the maths yourself.
Nutrition values are estimates and may vary by brand and portion. They're a helpful guide for tracking your intake, but not a substitute for medical or clinical nutrition advice. If you have specific dietary needs or a health condition, we recommend working with a registered dietitian.
